-_- *Macam kenal je.
I confessed my biggest fear. I should’ve done that long ago because she seemed so cool and never mind the issues. Sigh. It was my fear then. Fear of being discovered, then all my cover up attempts would go to waste. Wait. Why didn’t I tell her that I read her blog in the first place? Nobody’s gonna die anyways.
Every time we talked, and if I know something true about the topic, I’ll just put on an innocent face, ask stuff and go it’s-the-first-time I heard this when the real deal is I already knew it from her blog. Hehe.
I settled it down, at least for now. No more pretends, no more blunt moments, no more lies. It is tiring you know, to have committed all of those just so your friend doesn’t become suspicious of you. Heh.
Now, I’m a happy lass :D
My dad keeps on emphasizing that on my walimatul urus (which falls on an unknown date several years later), we’ll just give out coupons (e.g KFC, McD, Kenny Rogers) to the guests. Doesn’t require any hall reservations, caterers, loads of time even. Sigh.
As a result, I keep on having ugly nightmares on this. Though I pretty sure myself such thing will not take place in the future. (Okay, as I’m writing this I’m unsure about that any more). He should contemplate more on this matter because every single time we came across an invitation (from the family, his friends, etc), he’ll say “We’ll just give them food vouchers/coupons. Save time AND energy”. We seriously need to talk, pa.
Talking about wedding reception, it has been a tradition on my maternal side not to include bersanding as a part of the event itself. I dream of wearing silvery grey outfit, a dress instead of the typical kebaya paired with a Christian Louboutin’s. Aww, too good to be true then. Never mind me, not a fault to posses dreams right? :)
The bottom line is, I just LOVE wedding receptions. Families gather around after such a long time being apart as everybody has their own family to care and rear. Friends show up with own’s partner waiting to tie the knot in any moments ahead. Happy faces filled with laughter, smiles and the most important cast of the play, good food :D Scratch the part where you see kids throwing tantrums, running around like mental and all the kids’ part, literally.
Ah, can’t wait to meet and hug my personal knight in shining armour. Who’s he? That question is to be answered in 6-7 years time. Cheers.
p/s : In my nightmares, I always see Aaron Aziz as the knight though. Woot, a sign already ;p
It’s hard when ones think they’re smarter than another. Believe me, we’re equally smart. What exactly differs us is experience. Live with it.
My name is Amira and this is my signature dish :D
pestleandmortar: *makes faces*
yours truly: Why are you like this, babes?
pestleandmortar: You didn’t update me for a month. Having new blog? Huh. *flips hair.
Yours truly: Nahh. Been bit busy. Alright. I’ll bake your favourite cookie. Is that okay?
pestleandmortar: I guess so. I mean, OKAY!
Cut the crap! :p Actually, I am this productive because tomorrow I’ll be seeing my beau <3 Maybe, just maybe this time I can bake something for his belated birthday ;) Aww, these cookies were baked with so much love and care. Even the smell (during baking) spells LOVE. Haha.
Now, I wanna share with you the recipe.
You may add any nuts if you prefer so. For this time, I only use 50gm of chocolate chips and that might be the only reason why the cookies look dull. Seriously. Also, after 20mins, you may think that the chocolate chip cookies are underdone as when you poke in the middle, they’re still soft. ‘Fraid not, they will finish cooking through out of the oven.
So, there you go and do give it a try then ;)
